Transition

Sitting within a panoramic hilly context, this residence includes a series of volumes that gradually step in response to the sloping site.  Each volume maintains a slender ratio to harvest the prevailing windward breezes and offer unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. A composition of rectangular volumes define the character of the home where simple materials such as exposed architectural concrete and glass transition between the interior and the exterior spaces.
